Our Founder

A word from our founder, Geoffrey Claffey:

“From an early age, I’ve always had a passion for the outdoors — whether it was on the pitch, on the course, or exploring the Irish countryside in all its changing weather. Over time, I came to understand something simple but essential: when you’re facing the elements, the right gear makes all the difference.

That belief became the foundation for Alpha-U. I set out to create technical apparel that allows people to enjoy the outdoors in total comfort — apparel that blends innovation, performance, and protection. Every piece we design is built to keep you warm, dry, and unrestricted, so you can focus on the experience, not the conditions.
